We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this camp. The property managers were incredibly friendly and helpful. Having a tube and kayak rental facility on-site was convenient, and our kayaking experience was fantastic. Since we visited during the off-season, it wasn't crowded, and our kids had a blast on the river's rope swing. While the presence of a shower house was appreciated, we wished they didn't charge for showers, and some improvements would have been nice. Nevertheless, we would definitely return as the site was clean, peaceful, and overall, a great experience. Thank you to everyone involved!
Wow what a beautiful place to camp and fish and enjoy the water.
This place is usually packed but during the winter season it perfect for peaceful nights camping & fishing. The camp grounds host are the best people I have ever meet and helped me out with a few things I forgot and needed. 100% recommend stopping by here for a great camping experience with family.
Last minute getaway weekend, we got a riverfront site. Staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. Beautiful fall color, used scenery to take photos. We will be back!
Me and my 13 yr old son went for spring break and had a great time. There are many spots where u can camp 20 ft from the river and I love the sound as they have a rocky section and a deep section with ripe swing.
Each tent site had electrical plug, fresh water tap(take a hose if you want) they have clean restrooms and a shower in each bathroom.
1030pm is lights out so if your a young party animal... go somewhere else.
Beautiful RV and camping site. Easy access to the river. Super clean site. Really helpful friendly staff willing to help with any query. Dog friendly. Has electric and water hook up, toilets, and basic shower block. Black and grey water dump is at top of camp. It's really great for families and those wanting a more chilled time. highly recommended, and I would pick this site again and again .
A great campground right on the Guadalupe River. Most sites have plenty of shade with rv hookups and tent sites. Easy access to the river with stairs everywhere. The staff were really friendly and let us stay a little longer after checkout to enjoy the river. There’s a small store onsite with essentials and they have a shuttle service that will take you up river for a 2 or 3 1/2 hour float where you exit at your campsite. Restrooms and showers onsite that were clean.
My family and I went the beginning of August. It was my first time I really enjoyed our stay, our space. Everyone was so nice. The only thing is showers are at the entrance and if you like showering with HOT water make sure you take your quarters. Another thing the fee I wish it could be 2 adults and 2 kids, not being additional. But with this heat the water itself is very passable and good to shower after a long day in the river. Will go back soon.
The river is a great size, there are plenty of shallow areas to put chairs and deep spots to cool off in, the camp sites are a good size, there is electricity, and its a decent price.
The cons are the bathroom and shower are disgusting. You also have to pay for hot water which isnt a big deal ( 50 cents for 5 minutes), after a hot day I would prefer a cold shower. Whats irritating is that the cold shower has such low pressure, you have to pay for the hot shower to get real water pressure. Which doesnt matter to guys, but for girls with long hair it will take forever to wash the shampoo out. The toilets and shower are dirty and filled with bugs. You expect bugs in the bathroom but I mean it was A LOT of bugs.
